There’s something undeniably special about a Toronto wedding that embraces the unexpected- Kristina and Jon’s day was exactly that. As a Toronto wedding videographer, I’ve seen how weather can shift plans, but what stood out most about their wedding wasn’t the rain- it was how present, grounded, and connected they were through every moment.

A Morning of Anticipation at Novotel Toronto

Kristina and Jon began their day getting ready at the Novotel Hotel in Toronto, surrounded by their closest people. The atmosphere was relaxed and intimate- no rush, no pressure. It was just a quiet excitement building throughout the morning.
They both knew it was going to rain all day, but they didn't let it ruin their good energy. Plans were quickly adjusted and we ended up doing the first look, vows, and photoshoot in the hotel which turned out amazing. There was a beautiful staircase and a swanky bar that we made use of.
A Private First Look and Vows

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was their first look followed by private vows. Away from the noise of the day, Kristina and Jon shared this moment together on one of the hotel's secluded staircase. As a Toronto wedding videographer focused on storytelling, these are the moments that matter most. Not the perfectly staged shots, but the real ones- the ones you feel when you watch the film back years later.
The Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Bellagio Event Centre in Toronto

The ceremony and reception took place at the Bellagio Event Centre, where the evening was filled with energy, laughs, tears, and connection. The ceremony and reception space were filled with white and blue florals, shaped by an enchanting atmosphere of spotlights and candles. The design was modern, but elegant and considered.

Kristina and Jon had their first dance accompanied by a violinist. From there, they had an unforgettable night filled with speeches and dancing.

A Different Kind of Toronto Wedding Film
Kristina and Jon’s wedding is a perfect example of what I believe wedding films should be:
honest over perfect
present over posed
meaningful over manufactured
As a Toronto wedding videographer, my approach is always to document the day with care- observing and capturing moments with elegance and honesty. This is what creates a lasting keepsake that honours that once-in-a-lifetime experience.
